Before entering the roofing industry, Avery built his career in law enforcement, finishing his service as a member of both the drug unit and SWAT team— experience that shaped his approach to discipline, accountability, teamwork, and leadership under pressure. Since joining Brandon J Roofing two years ago, Avery has quickly established himself as a top producer. In his first year, he generated $3.1 million in sales and is on track to produce approximately $2 million this year despite a significantly drier market. Since April, Avery has led the company’s Illinois sales team with a focus that extends beyond revenue. His mission has been to transform the team culture, build a powerhouse sales organization, and develop a strong “farm team” of emerging leaders prepared to step into future leadership roles. Avery’s approach combines frontline sales experience with intentional leadership development, proving that strong culture, clear expectations, and the right people can build teams capable of performing in any market.
