Mathew Mulholland is a nationally recognized claims educator, industry advocate, and innovator who has spent more than 15 years challenging the way the property insurance industry investigates, documents, and resolves claims. He serves as Dean of Education for both the Building Experts Institute and Brelly, an AI-powered claims platform built specifically for the property claims industry. A former public adjuster and past president of the Georgia Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (GAPIA), Mathew has been deeply involved in shaping insurance legislation and regulation, including negotiating proposed legislation directly with Department of Insurance leadership and writing his own bills. His unconventional approach to claims investigation has even taken him into the world of experimental science: Mathew designed and built his own hail cannon to conduct controlled research on hail damage, resulting in research published in an ASCE scientific journal. Today, he combines decades of real-world claims and construction experience with education, technology, scientific research, and legislative advocacy to challenge industry assumptions and teach professionals how to stop arguing from opinion and start proving their position with evidence.
